This course provides nurses with foundational knowledge and practical skills in wound and ostomy care. Participants will learn wound assessment, dressing selection, basic ostomy management, and strategies to promote healing, prevent complications, and support patient comfort and recovery.

Programme Description

 Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: 

  1. Describe the principles and stages of wound healing. 
  2. Perform basic wound assessment using a systematic approach. 
  3. Identify common wound types and appropriate dressing selection. 
  4. Demonstrate fundamental ostomy care principles and stoma assessment. 
  5. Provide patient education and recognise common complications requiring escalation.
